I feel there are two people inside of me-me and my intuition. If I go against her, she'll screw me every time, and if I follow her, we get along quite nicely.
- Kim Basinger
How many episodes of "Say Yes To The Dress" does one need to watch before they realize that there is hardly a greater force than one's intuition.
When you know, you know.
But this doesn't just apply to white/ivory/pink? dresses.... this applies to a lot of things in life.
And it's no different when planning your event.
What ever your event, you want your clients, friends, family, and guests to appreciate and enjoy their time. Therefore, when choosing a venue, a menu, (nothing else really rhymes, oh well!), an entertainer, a color scheme.... you truly need to focus so you can really be in that moment @ your event...to help make choices.
Just like those brides try before they buy, it's the best idea to physically go to each venue, get invitation paper samples, have a taste testing, get linen swatches, purchase individual marketing swag items, get testimonials regarding entertainers, etc. so you can have that Aha! moment properly! Your instincts need some help from your senses sometimes!
Can intuition be learnt?... I don't know and I'm definitely not a philosopher. Here's what I do know, it can definitely be developed. An Event Planner is here to help you along with this process that's forsure! It is our job to be intune with your intuition! And Event Planners have the knowledge, experience, & practicality to bring you good & appropriate choices.
Ultimately if you want to have the final say between 2 or more "perfect" choices, your intuition will have to come into play, so make sure its ready when your planning your next event!
